PictBridge Logo Certification Program

Allion is a CIPA (Camera and Imaging Products Association) approved test organization to perform the PictBridge Logo Certification Program. We support all the customers that are willing to obtain the certification of logo usage for your PictBridge products.

What is PictBridge

PictBridge was created by CIPA (Camera & Image Products Association) to make printing digital photos easier and more accessible. PictBridge allows you to connect a digital camera, directly to a printer without a PC, enabling direct printing on the spot. It is the latest standard for connecting digital cameras to printers and allows easy direct printing regardless of brands.

PictBridge Logo Certification Program

The logo certification program will assure interoperability of consumer digital imaging products displaying the PictBridge mark and listed in the Compliant Products List in the PictBridge Web site

Scenario Version
Test Suite was updated on 3/4/2008.
The scenario version is updated periodically and ether the latest or second latest version are acceptable for logo certification.

Application Type, Submission Method and Certification fee

New product applications
Definition: General Application when new developing products having PictBridge functions
Application method : Vendors need to run the logo certification test themselves and then submit the results (test log) to the certification center.
Certification fee : ¥300,000 (Consumption tax or remittance charge are not included)

Similar product applications
Definition : This application applies to models in the same series as a newly submitted or already certified model, and models customized for regional specifications.
Application method : Vendors need to submit a new check sheet to the certification center proving that the product satisfies the requirements for Similar product application
Certification fee : ¥200,000 (Consumption tax or remittance charge are not included)

Additional product applications
Definition : This application applies to additional submissions of products just after the certification of a model. This is possible provided certain conditions are satisfied.
How to apply : Submit the new check sheet to prove that the applied model satisfies the identical requirement of original models.
Certification fee : ¥50,000 (Consumption tax or remittance charge are not included)

About the adscription
When making New,Similar or Additional submissions, models that satisfy the same conditions with the submitted model, may be listed on the same application
Please refer to Logo Certification Guidelines Rev.3.0 for detailed definition of each application.
Similar and additional submissions are possible only if the vendor is the same as the one that obtained logo certification for the original model.

*Note: An"already logo certified model" indicates a model which was certified based on Logo Certification Guidelines Rev.3.0.
