HDCP WHDI Specification Rev 2.0 Now Available

Digital Content Protection, LLC announced the availability of the Errata to the HDCP Specification 2.0 on WHDI for review by HDCP Licensed Adopters. The specification is available at the following link until August 27, 2009: http://www.digital-cp.com/hdcp_20_whdi_errata.

 

xD Office Announced New Test Version for Host Compliance Test

1.21A Test version were ceased from July 30, 2009 1.21B Test version were effective from July 31, 2009 Content changed: In addition to test for Windows 7 OS built PC

a) Test card added: 2GB Type M+
b) Test OS: Selectable from Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7

Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 RTM is Released

Windows 7 is available from August 6, 2009 and Windows Server 2008 R2 is available from August 14, 2009. For details, please contact service@allion.com

Use Windows Vista Service Pack for Windows Vista Submissions

Starting from March 03, 2010, all Windows Vista submissions must use Windows Vista Service Pack 2 (SP2). For details, please contact service@allion.com

Logo Program Categories Retiring in June 2010

The Tape Drive, Medium Changer, and Serial Port Adapters logo program categories are retiring in June 2010. Effective June 1, 2010, no logo will be available for these devices. Devices that currently use these logo program categories will have to use the Unclassified category to obtain a driver signature beginning June 1, 2010. WFA added New EAP Type Testing for WPA2 and 11n 

Both WPA2 and 11n draft 2.0 test plans incorporate tests for new EAP methods AKA and FAST. After August 16, failure to use these EAP types for Category 2 and Category 3 devices will result in failure of certification. Category 1 devices may support these EAP types but are not required to support them to obtain certification. For details, please contact service@allion.com

WFA added No TKIP with HT Rate Test

Starting from September 1, the No TKIP(Temporal Key Integrity Protocol) with HT (High Throughput) Rate Test will become requisite for the Wi-Fi Certification Program. For details, please contact service@allion.com
