The ExpressCard standard was developed by (The Personal Computer Memory Card International Association; PCMCIA), it uses the serial data interface to substitute for the PCI parallel bus interface of a PC card. This standard can speed up the development of mobile telecommunication, data storage, I/O, multimedia and pluggable card. It also brings more strength to the new generation desktop and notebook, with smaller size, higher speed, lower cost and less power. Any system that incorporates PCIe and USB will be able to take advantage of the ExpressCard standard since ExpressCard technology uses the latest PCIe and USB 2.0 interfaces to connect its application into the system.
