Allion Test Labs certified as TransferJet Qualified Test Lab (QTL)

Tokyo, December 21, 2009
Allion Test Labs is certified as TransferJet™ Qualification Test Lab (QTL) by the TransferJet Consortium. TransferJet is a new interoperable wireless transfer technology that enables rapid transfer of high resolution video, music and images with just a single touch.
The TransferJet Consortium was launched upon the agreement of Sony Corporation, Canon Inc., Eastman Kodak Company, Hitachi Ltd., Victor Company of Japan, KDDI Corporation, Kenwood Corporation, Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. (Panasonic), NIKON CORPORATION, Olympus Imaging Corporation, Pioneer Corporation, SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS CO., LTD., Seiko Epson Corporation, Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications, and Toshiba Corporation.
TransferJet is a new wireless technology that combines the speed of UWB (Ultra-Wide Band) with the ease of NFC (Near Field Communications). TransferJet allows high speed transfer of large data files (photos, video, images, etc) between two electronic products such as mobile phones, digital cameras, camcorders, computers, TVs, game products, and printers. With a single touch of 2 TransferJet enable mobile phones you can share (send) data such pictures.

Recognizing the achievement of Allion as a major test lab providing several certifications programs, the TransferJet Consortium chose Allion as Qualified Test Lab to provide the TransferJet certification test.

The obsolescence date for ExpressCard Compliance Checklist 1.1 as August 22nd, 2008 (4/21/2008) 
PCMCIA has announced the obsolescence date for Compliance Checklist 1.1 (all revisions) as August 22nd, 2008. Beyond this date, submissions of the Compliance Checklist 1.1 (all revisions) will no longer be accepted.
Release 1.2 Revision 1 of the ExpressCard Compliance Checklist should be used and submitted with product designed to the ExpressCard Standard Release 1.2.

HDMI v1.3 and DisplayPort v1.1 Compliance Testing Fixtures (4/21/2008) 
To accommodate the growing rate of the Consumer Electronics market and compliance test needs for the next generation multimedia display devices, Allion distributed Efficere's HDMI v1.3 and DisplayPort v1.1 compliance testing fixture. The testing fixtures offer customers the proper tool to meet the criteria of testing specification.
Efficere's HDMI and DisplayPort testing fixture set provides a very high bandwidth, low noise evaluation vehicle that enables high-performance characterization of source and sink devices as well as cabling (DisplayPort). The HDMI test fixture provides the bandwidth greatly exceeding the 340 MHz (10.2 Gbps) of the latest v1.3 HDMI specification supporting 1080p at 30, 36 or 48-bit color. Single Data Rate (SDR) DisplayPort v1.1 bandwidth requirements exceed 10.8Gbps, equivalent to a data transfer rate of 1080 Mbytes/second. This adapter test set will also support Double Data Rates (DDR) anticipated in the v2.0 specification.

Allion will launch PictBridge Certification test service (3/4/2008) 
Allion Test Labs Inc.(Taipei, Taiwan) and Allion Japan(Tokyo, Japan), entrusted by the Camera & Imaging Products Association(CIPA), will provide from April 1st 2008 PictBridge Certification test service for devices such digital camera, printers and so on..
The PictBridge Logo Certification Program was established in February 2003 by CIPA.
With PictBridge it is possible to connect a digital still camera (also mobile phone) directly to a printer without the use of PC, enabling direct printing.

Until recently only one organization was qualified to provide PictBridge Certification test. But with the Certification regulations revision that will be implemented from April 1st 2008, Allion is added as a new Certification Center. Allion is providing test and support services to a large range of customers not only in Japan but also in Taiwan, China, Korea, and United States of America.
Next to PictBridge Certification test, Allion is also providing interoperability test between electronic devices and also logo certifications test such as USB, WiFi and many others. Allion does also provide debug support for devices that encounter defect during test.
By thus providing this "all-in-one" service, product developers can reduce the testing period and cost and also reduce the number of sample devices to be submitted to testing companies.

CEC Compatibility Test for Sink Devices is available in Allion (2/19/2008) 
A new test solution in addition to the CEC compliance test now is ready in Allion. CEC compatibility test program can help you to verify if your sink product can compatible with variety of CEC applicable source products such as HD-DVD Player, Blu-Ray Player, Handycam, HDD-Recorder, Notebook and AV amplifier.
Three different categories are involved in the program including
Interoperability with media player,
Interoperability with repeater,
CEC Signal Passthrough Test.
14 DEVICES and 26 configurations are prepared to stimulate all possible connection situations.
