What is the xD-Picture Card?

The xD-Picture Card, developed jointly by FUJI PHOTO FILM, OLYMPUS OPTICAL and TOSHIBA, measures at only 0.79 by 0.98 by 0.07 inches and weighing less than one-tenth of an ounce. Aside from being the world's tiniest and most advanced high-capacity flash memory format, the xD-Picture Card also minimizes power consumption on digital cameras and other devices. This will save battery life and provides fast read and write capabilities.
