Allion is authorized by Hikari TV as Compatibility Program Lab

In collaboration with NTT Plala Inc., an internet service provider of NTT Group, Allion is pleased to announce that Allion Japan is now certified to provide the Hikari TV Compatibility Program. Hikari TV (ひかりTV) is an antenna-free television broadcasting system that uses the fiber optic network to provide multi-channel broadcasting, video on demand (VOD), IP retransmission of terrestrial digital broadcasts, NHK on demand, and Karaoke services under NTT’s “Next-Generation Network (NGN)”.

This Program is necessary for Manufacturers to obtain the Hikari TV Certified logo and be listed on Hikari TV website.

• Function Test 

With the Function Test, your product will be examined strictly under Hikari TV’s required specification. Major features, such as multi-channel broadcasting, VOD services, and IP retransmission of terrestrial digital broadcasting, are all included in the verification criteria. Function Testing confirms that your product is fully conformable to the spec and can perform properly in different connection modes.

• Load Test

The Load Test covers many other crucial test points to assess product performance. From protocol regulation to actual play tests, including DLNA content and continuous playing, your product will be inspected for quality and reliability. In addition, the connectivity under huge network burden will be verified to test product workability. Passing Load Testing including basic function testing, in addition to better quality testing to face diverse circumstances.
