DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) has officially announced that Allion Labs. Inc. (Allion Taiwan) is an Independent Certification Vendor (ICV) for VidiPath branded products. From now on, Allion Labs, Inc. can provide VidiPath compliance testing, pre-compliance validation, and technical consultation.
VidiPath technology allows pay-tv providers to securely deliver subscriber content to many different smart devices in the home. VidiPath compatible set-top boxes operate as networked media hubs, delivering content to multiple devices via wired or wireless connections. VidiPath also allows for the development of seamless user-experiences between these different devices. In the near future, consumers will be able to watch their favorite shows across a full-range of VidiPath branded televisions, mobile devices, and personal computers.
Before a product can be granted VidiPath CERTIFIED status it must obtain DLNA certification and this requires both Wi-Fi and UPnP certification.
