Being dedicated to the field of radio frequency for many years, Allion Labs, Inc. (Allion) has recently been officially authorized as Bluetooth® Qualification Test Facility (BQTF) for Bluetooth 4.0 by Bluetooth Special Interest Group (Bluetooth SIG) to perform the Bluetooth 4.0 LE RF-PHY conformance tests. Moreover, Allion’s self-designed & developed Bluetooth® qualification test equipment Allion Bluetooth RF Test System (ABRTS) and corresponding software, Allion Bluetooth Test Suite (ABTS), have also successfully been validated by Bluetooth SIG to conduct Bluetooth 4.0 relevant qualification tests. Starting now, related companies in the industry are able to contact with Allion’s worldwide branches to enjoy our real-time local assistance services regarding Bluetooth 4.0 technology.
Bluetooth 4.0 is also known as Bluetooth Low Energy and can be divided into single mode and dual mode. Single-mode devices are intended to have considerably reduced power consumption and are not backward compatible with classic Bluetooth® technologies. However, dual-mode devices are compatible with other Bluetooth peripherals, such as Bluetooth v2.1 + EDR and Bluetooth v3.0 + HS, so users can switch the operations of high-speed or low-energy upon ones’ demand. Bluetooth 4.0 is famous for low power consumption and able to run in low-energy mode while continuously streaming data for a long period of time, making Bluetooth 4.0 perfect for healthcare electronics and fitness instruments. Besides, Bluetooth 4.0 optimizes the transmission distance from 10m up to 30m at most and adopts 128-bit AES encryption, which is very suitable for application that requires higher security.
In order to expand research and design capability in the test instruments to advance the depth of Bluetooth® validation techniques, Allion develops its own test equipment “ABRTS” and corresponding software “ABTS”, which are aimed at customized test configurations for DUTs. Focusing on the wireless communication function of Bluetooth, ABRTS and ABTS can generate vector interfering signal in various modulation types with accurate self-calibrated power meter and spectrum analyzer to assist developers’ products in meeting specifications of Bluetooth SIG. Currently, ABRTS and ABTS have been officially validated for executing Bluetooth 4.0 LE RF-PHY conformance tests, playing a role of solving products’ root causes and refining qualities.
Moreover, Allion’s Bluetooth® Qualification Expert (BQE), recognized by Bluetooth SIG, is able to provide consultation support for the qualification of clients’ products, providing comprehensive assistance. As your best Bluetooth consultant, Allion’s BQE would help our clients in every single product development stage from test plan generation, actual testing to product listing procedure. Our BQE will further assist you in conducting interoperability testing, executing debugging analysis and providing real-time consultation service, saving your valuable time and simplifying the cumbersome process.

As the official BQTF authorized by Bluetooth SIG, not only does Allion provides holistic Bluetooth® qualification testing services, we also offer you with professional Bluetooth® qualification test equipment ABRTS and its software ABTS, giving you the state-of-the-art Bluetooth technology service.
