Allion will be joining the HDMI Devcasts 2020 to share the testing of the HDMI 2.1 UHS Cable Certification Program.

Due to the unforeseen circumstances of COVID-19, this year HDMI LA is going to hold a webcast and invite worldwide HDMI adopters to learn the highlights of HDMI 2.1 features online. This member-only webcast will be showing different videos on HDMI 2.1 features and specifications, allowing adopters to watch remotely anytime from September 30 to October 31, 2020.

On the webcasts, Allion is going to share the latest HDMI 2.1 Ultra HHigh-SpeedHDMI Cable Certification, which includes the following test programs:

  1. UHS Cable
  2. Categoroy3 Cable
  3. EMI

This UHS Cable features all HDM2.1 functions, including uncompressed 8K@60Hz and 4K@120Hz contents. The cables also support up to 48Gbps bandwidth. In addition to signal tests, UHS HDMI cables are also required to pass the EMI test to ensure low EMI during transmissions, reducing interferences with wireless networks like Bluetooth® or Wi-Fi networks.

HDMI-certified cables must be labeled with clear identification on the packaging and on the outer cable jacket itself; please refer to the following figure:
