TAIPEI, May 17, 2024 — Authorized by the Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA®) as a DisplayHDR 1.2 Authorized Test Center (ATC), Allion Labs announced LG has acquired the DisplayHDR 1.2 certification for LG UltraGear™ OLED gaming monitor (model 45GS95QE) at Allion Labs, making it the first VESA DisplayHDR 1.2 certified monitor in the world. Moreover, another UltraGear™ OLED gaming monitor, model 39GS95QE, has also been approved as the DisplayHDR 1.2 certified monitor. Allion is honored to join hands with LG again to promote the new VESA specification and improve the AV ecosystem together.
VESA released the DisplayHDR 1.2 certification program on May 7, 2024. After undergoing several revisions, the updated test specification sets tighter requirements for color accuracy than the previous DispalyHDR 1.1 spec. While DisplayHDR 1.2 is now available for certification, VESA has provided manufacturers with a transition period to preserve products that are already in development. Display products can be certified under the DisplayHDR 1.1 spec until May 2025, and laptop products until May 2026.
