TAIPEI, October 5, 2022 — Allion has been recently authorized by the Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA) as one of the world’s first Matter Authorized Test Labs (ATL). As of today, we offer Matter certification testing and consulting services for IoT products, supporting vendors in the certification process and reducing time to market.

The Zigbee Alliance worked alongside Amazon, Apple, and Google, beginning Project CHIP (Project Connected Home over IP) in December 2019. In May 2021, the Zigbee Alliance officially rebrands as the Connectivity Standard Alliance, and Project CHIP became known as Matter.

Matter aims to establish a smart home IP-based protocol to allow for interoperability beyond a single ecosystem and greater compatibility between devices. With its network based on Wi-Fi, Bluetooth® Low Energy, and Thread, Matter not only strengthens product privacy and security but also provides a consistent standard for product assessment. If a product is granted the Matter certification, it is then compatible with all other Matter-supported devices, enabling the consumer to have a brand new IoT experience across different brands and boosting brand favorability.

As an authorized test lab of over 30 certifications, not only can Allion Labs assist with Matter certifications but also with certifications like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth®, Thread, and many more. Allion allows brands to achieve a one-stop, convenient product certification process.
