Bluetooth SIG recently announced updates for Declaration ID, which will go into effect on February 25, 2021. The updates are summarized as follows:

  1. All Declaration ID issued on or after February 25, 2021 will expire in 12 months from the date of issuance. Bluetooth SIG will no longer accept requests for refund of Declaration fees for DIDs issued on or after February 25, 2021.
  2. For Declaration IDs issued before February 25, 2021, vendors are encouraged to use the IDs within 12 months of the updated policy going into effect. If a refund is needed, please contact the finance team of Bluetooth SIG to discuss a plan of refund before February 25, 2021.
