The HDMI Licensing Administrator (HDMI LA) held the HDMI 2.2 Developer Conferences in Seoul (Jan 29), Tokyo (Jan 30), Shenzhen (Feb 2), and Taipei (Feb 4), focusing on HDMI 2.2 technology. As an Authorized Test Center (ATC) of the HDMI Forum, Allion Labs was invited to the Tokyo, Shenzhen, and Taipei stops to share insights on the HDMI 2.2 specification, implementation, and industry trends.
At the first stop in Tokyo on January 30, Technical Manager, Kenji Fujita, delivered a speech titled “Overview of Cable-ID and FRL Link Training Control in Source and Sink PHY Testing.” He introduced the advanced test fixture, the AJSC-1X, which was also exhibited and drew significant attention from attendees.

In the subsequent Shenzhen and Taipei stops, Technical Assistant Manager, Ian Hsieh, was one of the key presenters. He shared expertise on HDMI 2.2 updates and the major challenges in HDMI 2.x testing, enabling attendees to better optimize implementation strategies and validation priorities. During the event, he also engaged in technical discussion with industry experts at the booth.
