The Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology (ESMA) has announced that all digital TVs shipping to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) must submit a DVB-T2 Compliance Test Report. There is no need for a separate accreditation from ESMA, test reports from any ISO/IEC 17025 accredited testing laboratory for standard UAE.S 5017:2014 are acceptable.

As an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited lab, Allion has officially received TAF (Taiwan Accreditation Foundation) ISO/IEC 17025 certification for UAE.S 5017:2014. Allion can now provide digital TV receiver validation testing services (UAE.S 5017:2014) outside the UAE. This means that Allion can assist digital TV manufacturers enter the UAE market.
