TAIPEI, May 19, 2022 — Recently, Allion has been authorized by the Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA®) as one of the world’s first DisplayPort UHBR Authorized Test Centers (ATC). As of today, we not only offer DP40 and DP80 Cable certification tests but also testing and consulting services for DisplayPort 2.X sink and source devices, supporting vendors in the certification process and reducing time to market.

Since releasing DisplayPort 2.0 in 2019, VESA has continued to update specifications like AdaptiveSync, Cable ID, New Link Training, LTTPR, DP40/DP80 cable & connector, and more. These specifications are a basis for the newest DisplayPort 2.X. In March 2022, VESA officially announced the DisplayPort UHBR certification test, including the DP1.4 CTS test and above-mentioned specifications. During the conception of the DisplayPort UHBR specification, Allion actively participated in its development, presenting professional insights gained from a rich AV product testing experience.

Allion has been a long-time third-party test lab and partner of VESA, offering not only the DisplayPort UHBR certification but also the AdaptiveSync, DisplayHDR, DisplayPort UHBR (DP40/DP80) Cable certification testing and consulting services.
