ABRTS- Allion Bluetooth RF Test System

An official accredited test system for Bluetooth tech

Certified by the Bluetooth SIG, ABRTS can test and validate analog/vector signals, digital modulated signals, and RF signals. ABRTS is a standalone system that works in isolation from outside network connections, which prevents any disclosure or abuse of confidential client information.

ABTS- Allion Bluetooth® Test Suite

With our customized ABTS equipment, Allion test engineers can develop and track customized test configurations to meet specific customer requirements.

End-to-End Bluetooth Ecosystem Qualification & BQE Consulting Services

A Three-Tier Structured Workflow:

  • Chipset & Module Vendors: Pre-qualification for embedded modules, RF transceiver tuning, and leveraging Golden Reference designs to eliminate low-level HCI command bugs and Implementation Conformance Statement (ICS) misconfigurations.

  • Allion ATC Testing & Dedicated BQE Support: As an accredited Bluetooth Qualified Test Facility (BQTF), Allion delivers comprehensive Classic RF and LE RF-PHY testbeds. Our dedicated Bluetooth Qualification Experts (BQEs) provide end-to-end consulting, spanning ICS consistency audits to seamless QDID/Declaration ID (DN) integration.

  • Brand Owners & Vertical Application Terminals: Delivering extensive cross-device interoperability (IOP) testing for In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI), smartphones, and smart home ecosystems—accelerating compliant listing for derivative product families.

Bluetooth Qualification & Testing FAQ

  • Q: Can my product directly reference an existing QDID/DN, or will it require re-testing?
    • A: This depends on your product’s actual hardware implementation, the referenced Qualified Design, software/hardware revisions, and any newly supported Profiles.

If there are functional modifications or design alterations, Delta Testing may be required. Allion can conduct a QDID/DN architecture assessment and Implementation Conformance Statement (ICS) consistency audit to mitigate potential non-compliance risks from improper referencing.

  • Q: If a product adds a new Bluetooth Profile or undergoes a software update, does it require a full re-test?
    • A: Not necessarily.

We recommend first assessing the scope of changes against the currently effective TCRL release (such as pkg103/pkg104). Allion can design a customized Delta Testing plan targeting only the newly introduced or impacted Profile/Protocol features, significantly optimizing qualification lead times and engineering budgets.

  • Q: What are the primary differences in test coverage between Bluetooth Classic and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE)?
    • A: The differences lie in their distinct RF characteristics and protocol stack architectures:
      • Bluetooth Classic focuses on the 79 BR/EDR channels, RF power control, and modulation characteristics.

      • Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) covers LE RF-PHY, 1M/2M PHY, LE Coded PHY, and Stable Modulation Index (SMI) parameters.

Allion provides complete dual-mode testing capabilities, tailoring validation plans to the exact feature matrix of your Device Under Test (DUT).
